Improved phase-unwrapping method using geometric constraints

چکیده
Conventional dual-frequency fringe projection algorithm often suffers from phase unwrapping failure when the frequency ratio between the high frequency and the low one is too large. Zhang et.al. proposed an enhanced two-frequency phase-shifting method to use geometric constraints of digital fringe projection(DFP) to reduce the noise impact due to the large frequency ratio. However, this method needs to calibrate the DFP system and calculate the minimum phase map min at the nearest position from the camera perspective, these procedures are are relatively complex and more time-cosuming. In this paper, we proposed an improved method, which eliminates the system calibration and min determination in Zhang's method, meanwhile does not need to use the low frequency fringe pattern. In the proposed method,we only need a set of high frequency fringe patterns to measure the object after the high frequency min is directly estimated by the experiment. Thus the proposed method can simplify the procedure and improve the speed. Finally, the experimental evaluation is conducted to prove the validity of the proposed method. The results demonstrate that the proposed method can overcome the main disadvantages encountered by Zhang's method.

Pixel-wise absolute phase unwrapping using geometric constraints of structured light system.
This paper presents a method to unwrap phase pixel by pixel by solely using geometric constraints of the structured light system without requiring additional image acquisition or another camera. Specifically, an artificial absolute phase map, Φmin, at a given virtual depth plane z = zmin, is created from geometric constraints of the calibrated structured light system; the wrapped phase is pixel...
متن کاملGenerating a relative geologic time volume by 3D graph-cut phase unwrapping method with horizon and unconformity constraints
Construction of a relative geologic time (RGT) volume is vital to seismic geomorphological and sedimentological interpretation. Seismic instantaneous phase unwrapping provides an excellent approach for generating an RGT volume. Although several 2D or 3D seismic phase unwrapping results have been published, there is a clear need for discussions on concrete methods for seismic phase unwrapping. W...
متن کاملInSAR Phase Unwrapping by Transforming Sparce Data into a Regular Space
Phase unwrapping is one of the most important parts of InSAR techniques. In order to estimate the grand surface displacements, interferomtric phases modulated between 0 to 2π must be unwrapped. Based on the use of either the conventional method or persistent scatterer (PS), phases will be spread both regularly and irregularly. The phases of PSs can be unwrapped by reducing phases into a regular...

Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar (InSAR) capability to detect slow deformation over terrain areas is limited by temporal decorrelation, geometric decorrelation and atmospheric artefacts. Multitemporal InSAR methods such as Persistent Scatterer (PS-InSAR) and Small Baseline Subset (SBAS) have been developed to deal with various aspects of decorrelation and atmospheric problems affecting ...
متن کاملProfilometry without phase unwrapping using multi-frequency and four-step phase-shift sinusoidal fringe projection.
A three-dimensional (3D) profilometry method without phase unwrapping is proposed. The key factors of the proposed profilometry are the use of composite projection of multi-frequency and four-step phase-shift sinusoidal fringes and its geometric analysis, which enable the proposed method to extract the depth information of even largely separated discontinuous objects as well as lumped continuou...
